(1803) Saturated soil paste
A condition occurring when a soil sample and distilled water are mixed for laboratory test analysis, usually to determine chemical composition of the solution. At saturation the soil paste glistens as it reflects light and flows slightly when the container is tipped. The paste slides freely and cleanly from a spatula for a soil at its saturation percentage.
